Formed as a solo project by Phil about a hundred years ago, Final Coil only really became a serious proposition in 2008 when a full time band formed. Unfortunately the spirit of Spinal Tap hung over Final Coil and it took six drummers before we arrived at Tom and promptly chained him to something large and immovable to make sure he would never leave. We now keep him in a shed with a life time supply of cheeseburgers and Journey CDs and he seems happy enough.

With the four-piece line-up established, Final Coil recorded and released the "goodbye to all that" debut album under the auspices of Mrsvee/Burning Shed in June 2011 and are now back in the studio recording a follow up proving that cheese-eating-hippy noise-mongers are nothing if not prolific.

Regularly hitting live stages everywhere and anywhere, Final Coil's stated mission is to bring alternative rock back to the masses, one person (and sometimes not even that) at a time. It is a lengthy process.
