Podracer have been with XRP for a while, and we have enjoyed seeing their music grow with the band. Snap tight rhythms, catchy leads on the punky political side of the altrock scene bringing a welcome, fresh and new feel to the genre. A direction we love tremedously.
"tightly-woven, brilliantly antagonistic alt-rock " - BBC N. Ireland-Across The Line.

Angry, noisy, trashy, punchy and irreverent as they possibly could be, Dundalk three-piece Podracer take the post-punk sounds of the 80's, the subpop sounds of the 90's and different elements of rock, punk and metal, with lyrical subject matter as diverse as prescription drug addiction, organised religion, hoodies and serial killers, to create short, sharp shocks to the system.
They made their live debut in Dundalk's Spirit Store supporting Whipping Boy and have since shared the stage with, amongst others, Giveamanakick, Fighting With Wire and Lo Lite in Amsterdam. Most recently, supporting LaFaro in Auntie Annies at their first Belfast gig of 2012, Podracer have received some favourable reviews from Across The Line and AU Magazine.
Their debut album "Parking Cars & Pumping Gas" was released on September 29th 2012.
