Matthew Meadows is a crazy mofo, Initially introduced to us from AudioBurger as a DJ, we listened to his mental antics and tried to bring him over to the dark side. But he would not come, instead he mate us listen to his even crazier music in some effort to ward us off. But this will not stop us in our efforts to assimilate Catdog into the ranks of the XRP.

7 days after releasing Etherati to ReverbNation, Matthew Meadows was the #10 Seattle Alternative artist, #1027 globally, and in the top 1.5% of over 1 million artists across all genres. 7 days after that he was at #5 in Seattle and moving up faster than 99% of all artists globally.

In the ensuing months Matthew established a foothold in the Indie music scene that has continued to solidify in 2012. He was an early and frequently featured artist on The Reputation Radio Show, where he now enjoys a weekly segment called Rango Unmuzzled. Every song from Etherati was selected for TV/Film interest by way of MusicXRay listings within 6 months of the release, and his songs were included on 4 compilation albums.

His latest album, Temple of Zither, is currently being produced by industry luminary Stuart Epps (Led Zeppelin, Elton John, George Michael, Matthew Meadows). 3 of those songs have already been selected for TV/Film opportunities, and the first production release, Smokehouse, was picked up by 125 radio stations during the first month it was rolled out.

Many people know Matthew as his alter-ego, Rango the Dog, a bipolar polymath hellbent on getting his 15 minutes of fame. This creation is the spearhead of his initiative to spread his fan demographics by way of video, leveraging his career as a ballet dancer and penchant for comedy writing and creating interactive, psychedelic computer animations. Rango has been extremely successful, expanding in popularity and name recognition extremely rapidly over Youtube, internet and FM channels.

2012 will see the release of Temple of Zither, an entire series of Operation Rango videos including a 30 minute special Into the Snow, and music videos for every song on the new album as well as several from Etherati. Additionally, Matthew is singing the role of Simeon in Sabrina Penya Young's animated opera Liberteria.

Between October, 2009 and August, 2010 Matthew played guitar with the Seattle hard rock outfit Zombie Jihad, lead by guitarist Kenan Kelley and featuring vocalist Sean Aust, bassist Christian Mark Wilson, and drummer Jerry Willits.

While living and working in Austin between 1995 and 2005 Matthew played in the tech scene underground band H4ck, a power trio supported by bassist Daniel Easton and drummer Brett Hopkins.
